THE UNSUCCESSFUL PLOT

The Taj and Trident hotels and the Narriman point complex have been sanitized now. I am still continuing with my respect and prayers for the all these brave souls countering a plot to destroy our country. Some of them sacrificed their life; some are in hospital recovering speedily from the physical and mental wounds. They are the brave members of our surveillance, defense, firefighting parties, Commandos, media persons and last but not the least the hostages who transformed their muscular nerves to steel. Besides creating a world wide massive terror and panic the aim of this pot was to destroy the reputations of our surveillance and defense skills, hospitality etc. The extremists wanted the Indians to bow down before them possibly by freeing their counterparts and paying a ransom. They wanted to scare our foreign guests to cancel their visit to India as a tourist or businessman. But it turned out to be a different thing. The whole world saw through the lenses of brave media persons the skillful, methodical and professional approach and the neat actions of our defense forces. These are not our words of appreciations but came from the mouths of the ex-hostages of the terrorists. Some of them are our guests from other parts of the world. The resultant effect of this episode is the sudden surge of patriotism in the whole country. Let us take an oath before the funeral pyre of the recent martyrs of the country, the oath of awakening ourselves. Like the first rule of safety, do an act of co-operation whenever we see something suspicious be it a baggage or some persons are trying to take photograph of vital installations. If we see persons with heavy baggage and entering public places and escaping unnoticed although the metal detector yelled a lot, bring it to the notice of security personnel. I saw in railway stations the person trying to escape the metal detectors or even it beeps, the security personnel is not alert.

In these Bombay happenings, I have certain questions and may someone be kind enough to enlighten me. Can two or three persons enter a building like Narriman House or five-star hotels like Taj, being unnoticed, carrying heavy baggage of ammunitions and foodstuffs sufficient to fight for 60 hours? The persons were described as lean and thin. Even if we double the persons is it true that they entered being unchecked? If they made a forceful entry can it be without any scuffle or blood shedding? Was there any alarm system in Taj or Trident?

My Story

My story started 57 years back in a district town of West Bengal Midnapore, well known as a birthplace of many Martyrs and freedom fighters. I was a born left armer but the elders in the family disliked my unusualness and I was forced to become a right armer. But this forceful physical modification could not change my mental condition. I was different in many aspects from the rest of my family members. Unlike other members of my family I suffered from various illness, mostly arising out of intestine and stomach disorders. My father was a police officer and mother, a housewife. Upon his transfer we moved almost every 2nd year, from one town to another. The residential bungalows were big, surrounded by garden. In most of the days I used to wake up in late mornings when my brothers and sisters left long for their schools. The big kitchen where my mother used to spend most of her times, was at one corner of the house, far-off from the children’s bedroom. I did not have much strength to roam in the garden for long. My aunt(my father’s widow sister ) often used to visit us. Her stories were about our ancestors who drove away the Marathas and later on took active part in freedom fighting against the English. These stories coupled with my medications ignited my dream sequences. However my aunt later on corrected them “ No .never they fought on elephants back, it should have been cavalry and gun carriages. You know…” As age passed by the fight scenes of the dreams changed into the interactions of various characters among themselves with their social, emotional problems and beliefs. Some of them exists truly others I have never seen. I tried to narrate my dreams on my own but with fewer freedoms. They protested strongly in the next dream and finally I had to become their stenographer. My profession of geology and mineral exploration gives me a scope to come across various parts of India and abroad. In this page of blog, I shall try to present some of my stenography dictated by the various characters in varied background of nature. The characters vary from tribals to high-ups in the society but all of them are what they are. I have no scope to alter them.
